Missions & Outreach
The mission of the Missions &
Outreach Ministry is to uphold the
Methodist tradition of being a
faithful church reaching out
and responding to human need.
Key Areas of Focus
Advocacy/Special Services
Children/Youth/Young Adult
Emergency Assistance
Beliefs
Methodists believe that mission is
witness to the God of grace, and
that mission has four essential
dimensions: Proclamation (proclaim
the Gospel); Evangelism (invite
people to personal decision for and
commitment to Jesus Christ for their
salvation); Incorporation (call
persons to be incorporated into the
Body of Christ); and Servanthood
(serve as agents of God’s liberation
and reconciling grace among the
nations).
Missions & Outreach
Ministries
Mission & Outreach
ministries organize regular programs
such as involvement with community
centers such as the Wesley Center in
Fort Worth, church involvement with
local food pantries such as the
Keller Community Storehouse, and
critical needs like the Haiti
Earthquake and Midwest flood relief
efforts.
The Mission Ministry
supports both the young adult and
youth mission trips through prayer
and assistance with organization.
The committee
coordinates with other ministerial
groups to further the reach of the
needs of our neighboring
communities.
